The $1 thank-you sale was popular beyond our expectations. Thank you to all those who participated.

Our servers were working overtime and whilst the site got pretty slow at some stages but held up(just).

Where they ended up

Kudos to those of you that also purchased an extra shirt with your $1 order. The record number of single $1 tees purchased by one person (the recipient of our 'tight-arse' award) purchased 16 tees in 16 individual orders!

Recently we asked you, the Wooshka community, to vote on how you would like to be thanked for the successful launch of Wooshka. With 68% of the vote, a member-only $1 sale was the clear winner.

So... for 48 hours from this Tuesday 27 May (New York – 10:00am, London – 3:00pm, Sydney – Midnight) any Wooshka member can buy any shirt in the range for just $1! All members can buy at least one $1 shirt, subject to stock availability. Members can only purchase one $1 shirt per individual order to try and make it fair for all members. Unfortunately you can't use your existing Street Crew credits for the sale, but you'll still earn credits if any of your referrals makes a purchase.

We'll send you a reminder email about an hour before the sale commences so you can get in nice and early!

Free freight for second shirt!
In a futile attempt to actually break even out of this whole exercise, if you add a second shirt to your order (at the regular price) we'll cover the additional postage.

We'll have some new winning designs coming at you very shortly. In the meantime we'll work out how this $1 sale is going to work exactly (probably should have thought about that beforehand really...). Two things to report people... Number one is that the crew here at Wooshka want to do something special to thank YOU, our founding members, for helping spread the Wooshka word. Secondly, we want you to tell us how we can do it! Plus you'll get paid for your vote! Ok, so that's three things.

Poll - How can we thank you?

The Wooshka Street Crew Reps program is coming so we're on the lookout for some talented promoters to spread the Wooshka word.

How it works... well instead of receiving Street Crew credits, Reps will get paid cold hard cash - 10% of all future sales from referrals. We'll even send you a starter pack to help get you going.

There are limited spaces available in each country so we're looking for Reps that are in touch with the Wooshka target audience – guys and girls aged 19-33 – and are willing to hit the city streets. New blog & new tees!

Welcome to Wooshka! Yeah I know, we have been live for a little while now – but this is the first official chance we have had to welcome you and thank you all for making the Wooshka launch such a success. The crew here have been working around the clock to complete the new changes to the site, with more to come over the coming weeks and months.

A shout out to Theimageneer and dhectwenty on being the latest design Wooshka winners – well done guys! And before you ask, yes we did have our first little stuff-up... I Heart Ketchup was supposed to be black print – these things happen. Nonetheless both of the new prints look great!

For the guys out there the two new shirts come with a small length change – about 3cm longer – based on the great feedback we have received from those that have already picked up some Wooshka threads. We’ve already received so much feedback (mostly positive, thankfully...) by email but feel free to leave any comments here on the blog - good, bad or indifferent - on how we’re travelling. In the coming weeks we’ll also be asking you to vote on our first official member-only poll that will help guide the direction of Wooshka...stay tuned!
